THE COTTAGE AT 1809 MAIN is an upscale, cozy gathering place for friends and family to rest, relax, and celebrate before and after the wedding celebration. Located less than a mile up the road from Highgrove Estate, this two-story nostalgic cottage is freshly renovated and ready to host rehearsal dinners, morning preparations, and day-after brunches. In addition to your complementary locally-prepared welcome basket, with close proximity to local coffee, small shops, and breweries, The Cottage is the ideal private home to enjoy the wedding weekend.
THE SPACE
With 4 guest rooms and 2 bathrooms, The Cottage provides plenty of space for dear family and friends to comfortably stay the weekend. Upon entrance, the large gathering room seats up to 20 and is complete with a framed large screen smart tv for relaxation or to cast special memories. Around the corner is a comfortable kitchen complete with everything needed to prepare meals or brew fresh coffee in the morning.
The open-concept leads to a spacious dining area with plenty of room for your whole party to sit back and enjoy a full rehearsal dinner, toast champagne, or munch on light appetizers. The large windows allow for plenty of natural light to shine in, no matter the weather.
THE OUTSIDE SPACE is just as special and welcoming as the indoor area. Complete with an upper deck, an outdoor fireplace, a large stone patio, and plenty of green space, the lush backyard is perfect for outdoor brunches, rehearsals, late-night fireside chats, and other social gatherings.
THE BRIDAL SUITE was thoughtfully designed with the bride in mind for a calming, serene atmosphere. This room reflects the beauty of the love celebrated and is furnished with a queen-size bed, a sitting area for make-up and writing, and a cozy reading chair.
The Cottage at 1809 can sleep up to 12 total. THE MAIN SUITE consists of two full-size beds and a pull-out sofa for plenty of sleeping space, and the TWO ADDITIONAL ROOMS are complete with two twin beds and a queen-size bed. Two BATHROOMs are located in the hall, complete with soaps, shampoos, toilet paper, and fresh towels.
The Cottage truly has everything you will need for the perfect place of rest and relaxation amidst the anticipation of the wedding celebration.
REHEARSAL DINNERS & BRUNCH
The Cottage at 1809 Main was designed for the purpose of gathering and celebrating. In alignment with our mission to make wedding planning simpler, Highgrove Estate is proud to offer delicious, in-house rehearsal dinner packages, as well as next-day brunches for your enjoyment and convenience. Please refer to The Cottage at 1809 menu for a complete look at all we offer. Outside catering and alcohol is also allowed.

BOOKING DETAILS
To ensure your stay is of the utmost enjoyment and relaxation for your wedding weekend, a minimum of 3 days and 2 nights is required. Check-in begins at 3:00 PM and Check-out is at 12:00 PM, unless a late check-out is arranged in accompaniment with our brunch packages. The booking rate is $750 / night plus tax. If you choose to extend your stay past the 2-night minimum, we are happy to offer a special rate of $500 for each additional night. There is a cleaning fee of $275, and this includes a full cleaning service upon departure.

Is there a minimum stay?
*Yes, there is a minimum stay of 2 nights, 3 days.
When is check-in?
*Check-in is between 3 – 5 PM on your first reserved day.
When is check-out?
*Check-out is at 12 PM of your last reserved day. Late check-outs can be arranged when a brunch package is added.
What is the rate to book?
*The rate to book is $750 per night for the 2-night minimum. If you choose to extend your stay past the 2-night minimum, we are happy to offer a special rate of $500 for each additional night.
Are there additional fees?
*The standard North Carolina state taxes will apply. A 4.75% North Carolina state sales tax, a 2% Wake County sales tax, a 0.5% special district tax and an occupancy tax of 6% charged on all rental rates and fees, totaling 13.25% will be added to the cost of any stay. Tax rates are subject to change without notice by government agencies and are outside the control of the management company and the property owner. There will be a $275 cleaning fee, which covers a full-service cleaning upon departure.
Do I need to be a Highgrove client to reserve The Cottage at 1809?
*Yes, as of now, you must be a client and/or wedding party of Highgrove Estate.

Do you offer catering from Highgrove Estate?
*Yes! Our Chef and team are thrilled to provide rehearsal dinners and next-day brunches. These are available as add-on packages.

Is this house private?
*Yes, the house and grounds are completely private for your enjoyment and relaxation. The owner does not live on site and there will be no shared rentals. You will have private access to the entire property. Keyless entry and contactless check-in are available with the Smart Lock on the front door.
Is there parking?
*Yes, there is ample parking on site at the cottage.
How many guest rooms and bathrooms are in The Cottage?

Do you offer a military discount?
*We do! As a thank you for your service, we are proud to offer a 10% discount for military personnel.
