Our wedding day was magical! It was better than I could have imagined. It’s hard to narrow down my favorite part! From the smoothness of our timeline, to celebrating with friends and family, to the amazing food, to our last private dance…I’d say the whole day was my favorite. But overall being able to officially be united with my favorite person for the rest of my life and celebrate our union with the people I love most was my favorite part!” Candace, Highgrove Estate Bride
On a perfectly-chilled day in late November, Candace + Brett said “I Do” beneath the walnut-stained pergola, with late-turned trees filling the natural backdrop. The chandelier sparkled in the whispers of the early-winter sun, a glow of pure joy cascading on the couple and their loved ones.
The Bride was glowing in an off-the-shoulder lace gown from Simply Blush Bridal, complemented by her drop earrings that glistened like the chandelier. She and her bridesmaids reminisced on special times as they got ready in the Bridal Suite, cheers-ing to the sweet memories and the wonderful days ahead. Her groom, Brett, was feeling the same anticipatory butterflies as he, too, got ready for the day in the Groom’s Suite across the way.
The Mother of the Bride, sparkling in a stunning champagne evening gown, assisted her daughter with her final touches: buttoning her dress, strapping her shoes, fixing her hair one last time. Once every detail was in place, Candace revealed her dress in an emotional scene to her closest loved ones. In their seaglass sage satin dresses, the girls prayed over their friend and snapped photos with their baby’s breath bouquets.
Once it was time for the ceremony, the wedding party made their way down the petal-and-candle-lined aisle. The doors swept open and Candace floated down the aisle to her groom. The couple stood hand in hand at the altar, in front of a wooden cross adorned with florals. The ceremony was filled with sweet prayer, stories of the two, and pledges of love.
Photographer Kaylyn Kadah reminisced: “My favorite part about Brett and Candace’s wedding day was their devoting love for Christ. Every little part of their wedding was filled with his Holy Spirit and it was seriously such a beautiful sight. Every single part of their wedding day was so intentional, and I was so happy I could be a small part of their day!”
In the spirit of the season, dinner was served buffet-style, complete with Caesar salad, roasted turkey breast, pecan crusted chicken with a bourbon sauce, green beens almandine, and creamy mashed potatoes. The tables were set with shimmering champagne-gold linens, white knotted napkins, and gold showplates. Floating candles surrounded by white and cream florals with greenery completed the tablscapes for a beautiful, classic look. The Highgrove team worked diligently behind the scenes to ensure that every detail was perfectly in place and the timeline ran smoothly throughout the entirety of the day.
In between bites of cake, the guests took to the floor alongside the couple (with a fun satin dress change!) to dance the night away beneath the twinkling lights. When the night ended, the couple shared in one of our favorite new trends – a private last dance. While the guests lined up outside the front of the Estate for the sparkler send-off, the couple took one last moment with each other to reminisce and soak in their last moments of the best day. Once the song ended, the couple ran through shouts of cheers and celebration, before taking off into their new beginning as Mr. + Mrs.
When we asked Bride Candace what her favorite part of the day was, she exclaimed: “Our wedding day was magical! It was better than I could have imagined. It’s hard to narrow down my favorite part! From the smoothness of our timeline, to celebrating with friends and family, to the amazing food, to our last private dance…I’d say the whole day was my favorite. But overall being able to officially be united with my favorite person for the rest of my life and celebrate our union with the people I love most was my favorite part!”
Congratulations once again to the happy couple! It was a joy and an honor to host your perfect day at Highgrove Estate!
