Kim + Truman: Transitional Autumnal wedding at Highgrove Estate

In early September, Highgrove Estate had the distinct pleasure of hosting a few of our very own for a spectacular wedding. Chuck and Diane Scro, long-time managers with our venue, celebrated the marriage of their daughter, Kim, and new son-in-law, Truman. It was a unique experience for not only the Mother and Father of the bride, but also for each of the Highgrove staff to be involved in such a special event.

Our sweet friend and Mother of the Bride tearfully described the day as “Magical.” Upon seeing Donna’s finished floral designs and Kim’s vision come to life, both Diane and Chuck were overwhelmed.

They only thing we would change is that it ended too soon! We are very grateful to the Highgrove Estate staff and all they did to make it such a perfect, stress-free day!”

Stress-free is the perfect way to describe Kim and Truman’s day. From the time they arrived at the venue until their sparkler send off, these two were beaming ear to ear, absolutely present and excited for the day and their future together.

Kim envisioned a natural, earthy design for her wedding day and Flowers on Broad Street blew it out of the water! Donna took Kim’s vision and developed it into what she called a “Transitional Autumnal” theme. It perfectly married the lushness of late summer with the warmth and mood of the approaching fall. In Donna’s own words “I knew we had to do something super special for such a special girl,” and with the help of her team, she designed decor like nothing Highgrove has ever seen.
